Results

The results of IDP Lab activities have to be measured from the perspective of the project partners by one or more of the following indicators:

Delivery of commitments
Improvement of the reliability with respect to agreed results, due dates and / or costs. This can be measured by a comparison between the planned parameters and the realised parameters.

Reduction of cycle times
Reduction of unnecessary cycle times due to unclear responsibilities, needless interfaces or dispensable activities. This can by measued by simple comparisons of planned and actual data or by collecting value added times in relation to the complete cycle time of a certain process.

Decrease of failure rates
The decrease of failure rates requires a clear definition and shared understanding of a failure in a certain business. Based on this, root causes of failures could be identified by the toolset of quality management and measures implemented which adress said root causes. Success in this respect can be measured by the number and quality of failures in a certain customer-related process.

Minimisation of costs
Costs are being minimised by identifying and eliminating unnecessary resource allocation. Needless resource allocation is usually generated by information or knowledge gaps, "gold-plating" of outputs or unfavourable job designs. Success can be measured by simple comparisons between pplanned and actual costs or by collecting value-adding costs in relation to the overall costs of a certain process.

Costs

The primary mission of IDP Lab is not consulting of organisations but the generation of empirically validated insights.

Based on this policy, the pricing model consists therefore of the follwing components:

  • a "craftsman payment" for the supporters plus travel expenses
  • a freely determinable share in results which will be primarily reinvested in the further scientific development of the approach
  • the commitment of the project partner that the results of the project will be subject to scientific utilisation - on request in an anonymised way

The specific rates will be fixed in an offer after a preliminary talk. Hereby the particular character of the organisation will be zaken into account (e.g. profit or non-profit orientation)
